TYPES OF PEELS

Vi Peel

Vi Peels combine the strongest and most effective acids, while offering much less recovery time than other chemical peels. This innovative product is a medium-depth peel that penetrates several layers of the dermis. Once applied, it leads to the peeling of damaged skin cells over the course of a few days following treatment. The top layers of damaged skin are removed, stimulating collagen production to promote healing and grow of new, healthy skin cells. Originally created by a doctor for his own daughter who suffered from acne, The VI Peel is virtually painless. 

Skin type: All skin types

Skin Conditions: Acne, Acne Scars, Fine Lines and Wrinkles, Hyperpigmentation, Sun Damage

Active Ingredient: Trichloroacetic acid (TCA), phenol, retinol, salicylic acid, vitamin C and proprietary mineral blend

Recovery: Skin may look slightly red or tan after the facial peel is applied, with the layers of the damaged skin flaking off over several days. Once the peel is complete, after a week, you can resume wearing makeup. 

After Care: It is recommended that you use SPF 30 or higher sun-protection cream following treatment.

Salicylic Acid Peel
perfect for those who have excessively oily skin and suffer from acne outbreaks, a salicylic acid peel is a light, superficial chemical peel that only affects the outermost layers of the skin. Salicylic Acid binds to dirt and other debris that can clog your pores. As it penetrates the first layer of skin, it pulls those blockers out, leaving behind clear and open pores. This deep cleansing effect allows the flaking away of dead skin cells to reveal, healthy, shiny new skin. The concentration of the formula used—usually between 20% and 30%—is far less than other standard peels, causing it to be one of our gentler chemical peel offerings. With a chemical makeup similar to that of aspirin, the effects of inflammation during use are reduced while the peel is working.

Recovery: Some may experience facial redness, flaking skin, itchy skin, slight irritation, sensitivity to the sun, and allergic reaction

SkinCeuticals Peels

With ingredients such as lactic acid, TCA, and salicylic acid, SkinCeuticals peels are customized to the patient. SkinCeuticals Peels work to remove signs of aging and acne and restore that youthful glow. These peels are effective at exfoliating and renewing the skin on a superficial-to- deep level. Applied to the face and neck, these peels also serve as excellent “spot treatments” and can be used to exclusively peel isolated areas of the skin. Not only do these peels have a lower risk of side effects, but the ingredients can benefit your skin over the course of a few treatments. SkinCeuticals Peels remove dead skin cells from the uppermost layer of the skin, helping to remove fine lines and wrinkles, even out skin tone and prevent clogged pores, while simultaneously restoring needed moisture to your skin, heightening the elasticity that often disappears as we age.
